From August 22-24, 2016, PEN has held a peer educator training with young participants from the municipalities of Gjakova and Gjilan.
This training was focused on developing the participants skills on Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Communication, Soft Skills, Decision-Making, Group Engagement.
The purpose of this activity has been to transform these participants into young and responsible young people who will serve as a positive model for young girls and boys. By building peer educators capacities in these areas, they will be able to transfer knowledge to their peers in order to modify unwanted behaviors and prevent behaviors that can lead adolescents to situations that are in conflict with the law.
This activity was carried out within the project “Supporting the Implementation of Local Action Plans for Child Protection through Provision of Preventive, Defensive and Reintegration Activities and Activities in the Gjakova and Gjilan Municipalities”, a project that is the result of the joint action of UNICEF and EU office in Kosovo, as part of the third phase “Support to Justice for Children in Kosovo 2013-2017”.
