PEN gathered CSO activists, representatives of labor unions, journalists and students in taking part in the Gender Bootcamp. The topic of discussion was about the benefits of gender equality within their institutions and programs/projects, by using practical tools and approaches based on Gender Mainstreaming Manual, compiled by PEN.
The gender and ethnic diversity of participants triggered fruitful discussions and provided space for sharing best practices and different perspectives on mainstreaming gender fair practices in their institutions and program/projects.
Participants, learned how to mainstream gender in the vision, mission and objectives of their institutions. The most interesting part of the gender bootcamp was the group work where participants, despite their different backgrounds, managed to find a common ground by compiling a common project with a gender perspective.
PEN believes that gender equality can be achieved only when all men and women from different sectors are brought together to break gender stereotypes and work towards a common goal.
PRO WO+MAN project is funded by the Swedish Government, and supported by the Olof Palme International Center.
