Today, on the 16th of December 2016, the director of PEN, Mr. Bujar Fejzullahu and mayor of Mitrovica, Mr. Agim Bahtiri, signed a memorandum of understanding. The memorandum in question formalizes the support of the municipality of Mitrovica for PEN’s attempts regarding women’s engagement in local decision making structures and increasing the number of women in Village Councils. The memorandum was signed within the “Act on Equality” project, supported by U.S. Department of State.
